Introduction to Redgate School

Redgate School is a small special primary school for children with moderate, severe and complex learning difficulties. The age range of pupils is from 3-11 years of age and there are currently 41 pupils on roll.

Most pupils have a degree of Moderate or Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) some pupils also have Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Redgate pupils are currently grouped in 5 classes within two Key Stages - 

Foundation/Key Stage 1 (12 children) Key Stage 2 (29  children).

 

The school Day

The scjhool day starts at 9.05 am

and finishes at  3.10pm

 Catchment Area

The school has an extensive catchment area providing education for pupils in the Mansfield, Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood districts of Nottinghamshire. The vast majority of pupils/students travel to school on transport organised by the Local Authority. Redgate School is located within the Ladybrook Ward of Mansfield District Council.
